PAST Project Experiences

  1. Initiated a City of St. Louis Energy Conservation Program. With full implementation of this proposal, the Facilities Management Division hoped to lower the City’s utilities usage by at least 18% per year, thru improved monitoring of utility costs for various City own facilities, and increased maintenance of building’s ductwork systems.
  2. Worked as a project manager to design, program and install the city’s first automated maintenance work order system, which lead to increased efficiency of existing resources, enhanced team effort, and improved response time.  This lead to the maximization of a new Facilities Management software/work order system that  provide improved tracking of all maintenance activities.
  3. Provided detailed maintenance coordination for special events such as the Pope’s visit to St. Louis, Mo. and the 1999 Super Bowl Celebrations.
  4. Worked with the BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS in implementing a centralized accounting section/system that serves both the president’s office and the Facilities Management, and the Equipment Services Divisions.  This effort allowed the senior management to better control the man-hours and the maintenance productivity rate.
  5. Responsible for the coordination of the mechanical and electrical design review for an 80 Million Dollar Justice Center located in Downtown St. Louis, Missouri.
  6. Instituted a training program for the City’s custodian and housekeeping staff, which lead to the reduction of labor cost for routine cleaning services.
  7. Provided design, relocation plans and project management services for renovation of approximately 12,000 square feet of existing City Hall floor space in St Louis MO.
  8. Project management services for the Child Development Center, Quantico Marine Base in Northern Virginia.  This Child Development Center, when opened at a cost of 3.8 million in the fall of 1995 was the only childcare facility of its kind on any U.S. Marine Base.  This facility serves 300 children ranging from infants through pre-schoolers.
  9. District of Columbia Oxon Cove Oil Recovery and Remediation Washington, DC Contract Value: $2 million Project Manager/Site Supervisor for DC largest oil spill. Tasked with restructuring the project objectives and ensured that activities aligned with OSHA, EPA, DOEE and general construction safety standards. Responsible for the coordination, management and site execution of all remediation efforts required for the excavation of 4 underground storage tanks (USTs). One 20,000 gallon tanks failed and discharged diesel fuel into the Oxon Cove and subsequently into the Potomac River. Performed as the key liaison for communication with the US Coast Guard, DC Department of General Services (DGS) and DC Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE). Ensured that all environmental and regulatory requirements were satisfied.
  10. Prince George’s African American Museum and Cultural Center North Brentwood, MD  Contract Value: $1.1 million Coordination of architectural/electrical engineering/civil engineering for site utility development for updated PEPCO electrical service and renovation of existing parking lot
  11. MGM Resort National Harbor, MD                                                         Contract Value: billable  Permit Liaison/Expediter for more than 100 design build construction permits/revisions between MGM and Prince George’s County, Department of Permitting, Inspections and Enforcement. Processed and logged over $3,000,000 in permit fees and ensured billing accuracy
  12. Kettering Baptist Church Upper Marlboro, MD                                                        Contract Value: $9.2 million Owner Representative / Project Manager for construction of 1000 seat / 45,000 square feet church. Review and approved monthly pay requisitions. Coordinate all RFI’s and submittals for architectural/engineering review. Review and approve project change orders
