 Architectural Development Specialist 

Marci provides management oversight and technical support to engineering associates and affiliate contractors to ensure that the most advanced, efficient, and cost-effective methods are utilized during the development, design, and construction phases of projects, while meeting the company’s quality standards.  Marci also provides technical assistance in negotiating contracts, change orders, and the like as required; and review all final estimate packages to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to formal quotation, and ensures compliance to ALSENIOR’s financial policies and procedures.

Marci is the ‘Point of Contact’ for the pre-construction phases (development phase) of ALSENIOR’s development projects by assisting senior management with ensuring that the company is profitable, look at cost-cutting measures and the utilization of resources optimally. Malika, also provide administrative assistance in negotiating contracts and change orders as required; review all final estimate packages to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to formal quotation; and ensures compliance to financial policies and procedures.

Manage and perform design review and estimates of projects, which include working capital, start-up costs, etc. of commercial opportunities in Virginia and Maryland. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Collecting data for the preparation and presentation of turnkey cost estimates
  • Working closely with the company’s senior staff and various contractors, both technical and non-technical, on specifications for defining local building code requirements
  • Preparing detailed cost estimates and supporting documentation for continuous equipment and maintenance services, and verification of construction expenditures
  • Utilizing industry approved methods and standards for determining financial impact of construction delays
  • Prepare formal estimates for management and clients
  • Develop drawing such as schematic, design development, and construction documents for new construction with Autodesk CADD products and Adobe products.
  • Review shop drawings, produced design layouts and interior finishes for corporate offices, historic structures, religious facilities, multi-story office facilities and residences.
  • Perform project/program manager duties, engaged in performing professional and technical work within the major functional areas of investigations and surveys, planning, design, and construction management.
